Mood: a-ok
People wonder why voting is a serious matter. Well as a veteran and an aware voter, I research the issues on the ballot as well as the candidates. Most people just vote fort a face or a name.
I have been asked who I am voting for and why? I have chose to back McCain. He is not to the left and an empty suit like Obama. McCain does not spout Communist rhetoric, nor the lies of Socialism. I do not like his stance on immigration though.
Immigration should be by the numbers, no amnesty for law breakers and any one who jumps the border is a law breaker. I don't give a crap about some treaty, which was unenforcable at that time. Now I am not a racist, but a nationalist. I have a lot of people I know who are non caucasian, some of my neighbors are from Mexico. They are anti-illegal immigrant as it gets.
I have strayed from the thread, allow me to go back to it. I am 55 years old and have heard about all the lines that can be given. If you listen to the speeches you can think back 30 years or more and remember the same rhetoric from some one else.
Now Barack with is speeches sounds like a "Black Jimmy Carter", Carter was a disaster! Gods I was in the Army when he was elected and he screwed the military over. He was a yellow coward and allowed Iran to go radical Islamist when he refused to back the late Shah of Iran.
Now I had voted Democrat a few times, but when their rhetoric is all from he "Communist Mannifesto", I refuse to back the goals of Socialism, or Communism. Both are detrimental to the American system. Both pander to the lazy and incompetent, listen to the talk, read the book and you will have your eyes opened.
Now I will say, vote your conscience, if you want more regulations and less freedom, vote for Obama. If you want the "Nanny State" vote Obama. If you want less taxes, less regulation then you know who to vote for.. McCain.
